As a company we actively encourage a positive, proactive
approach to Health & Safety matters within the organisation.
Safety is paramount to all activities. Constant contact with
various organisations such as the Health & Safety Executive
and the Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) allows us to
keep fully up to date with the organisations statutory responsibilities
and allows us to keep one step ahead of new legislation and
directives.
Over the last 10 years Coates Engineering International Group
has invested heavily in improving it’s Health &
Safety systems. The company has in place a full time Health
& Safety Manager who provides constant advice not only
to the company’s own employees, but also to it’s
clients with regards to the organisation of on site Health
& Safety Management during site installations etc.
With all substantial size projects, Coates Engineering International
Group have a nominated site Health & Safety Supervisor
to co-ordinate activities. These projects have dedicated installation
method statements, risk assessments and a Health & Safety
file generated for them. All site personnel are trained to
be Health & Safety aware and are qualified and competent
for the tasks they undertake. The company is currently working
closely with many of it’s clients to meet on site safety
passport training requirements. Linked directly with this
the company has a full Health & Safety training matrix
in place so that we can quickly identify suitable employees
for specific client sites.
Another major factor linked with Health & Safety issues
is employer’s liability insurance, the Coates Engineering
International Group currently has £10,000,000.00 cover
and is audited by it’s insurance company annually to
ensure Health & Safety systems and policy is maintained.
